Your own virtual call centre ?

February 15th, 2007

I am really quite excited about the claims this virtual call centre company makes (the things I get excited about nowadays is even surpising me).

“Distributed call-center outsourcing service LiveOps has announced the closure of a Series C round of funding for $28 Million. The round was lead by Benchmark Capital, a new investor in the company and a fund that rarely makes later stage investments. Benchmark’s investments in the consumer space, which more readers here may be familiar with, include Pageflakes, Bebo and Yelp among others.”

“Palo Alto based LiveOps offers web based management of more than 10,000 home based telephone workers. Here’s what makes them interesting: their service operates as a performance based auction, routing incoming calls to the best performing worker available. Top workers participate in IM communities to discuss methods of increasing productivity and solving problems. “

To prove how confident this company is, they will go head to head with any other call center, and publish the results - win or lose ! This sounds like a no cure no pay challenge. I am looking forward to taking them up ton the challenge so during the course of the next weeks I will be putting this service to the test. Check back for my results.

Creating your own ad network has never been easier!

February 15th, 2007

Tech Crunch states that RSS ad network Pheedo will announce a new service tonight - advertising widgets powered by RSS and incorporating several social media tools. Readers familiar with Techmeme’s advertising program will recognize the ideas here - companies today are producing creative content to drive visitors to their websites and that content can be leveraged explicitly as advertising. Pheedo hopes to make this approach scalable and widely deployed. The widgets can be placed on any web page and in many other ad networks.

Check out the Pheedo homepage for examples.

Catchyoo.com: Very cool break through in advertising

February 8th, 2007

Catchyoo.com, a Japanese company is giving creatives a very cool new way of interaction between advertiser and consumer. This form of interactive advertising allows you to design visual, sounds, narrative and copy and promote them on floors, walls, ceilings anywhere on a clean white background.  The beauty of this soultion lies in the incredibly clear and crisp imagery and sound.

“Based on sensors installed in the projection system, people can physically interact with the ad by waving their hands or walking on the ad. Catchyoo has become the new trend to promote hi-tech products e.g. iPhone because it is immediate, colorful, playful, stylish and effective and it draws attention from a crowd. ”

I recommend you actually watch several of the videos which demonstrate this new product, it will inspire you!

White label Adwords/Adsense platform by FASTsearch

February 8th, 2007

Norwegian search provider, Fast, released its AdMomentum product today.
The new product is private-label contextual advertising platform similar to Google’s Adsense and Adwords platforms paid for by a software licensing fee instead of a revenue split.

The product is aimed at high traffic sites taking part in the $6.7 billion search advertising market (PDF download).  AdMomentum provides publishers with a GUI to manage their site’s ad zones from purchase to delivery with tracking analytics. The system supports a variety of familiar advertising models that can be applied to the different ad zones: keyword auction, CPM, CPC, CPA, and flat rates.
